I made some awesome healthy fruit jigglers, and let me tell you… They are so much fun! They jiggle hard-core and my kids think they are great! This is a great healthy recipe and I actually got it right off the Knox Gelatine box. I can’t believe I haven’t tried it until recently. I have done a couple different varieties: 100% grapefruit juice and this time 100% orange juice. Fairly plain for now while I am figuring it out, but I think it will be fun to mix up juices and add chopped fruit to it as well. There are a lot of fun possibilities.
Okay, I will admit it. Beans really don’t belong in baked goods. I have tried it a few times and I just can’t get over the aftertaste. I just don’t like the weird texture/taste of the beans in my brownies.
The health nut in me wants to LOVE the idea of beans in my brownies and I have given the beans a few chances to win me over. No such luck. Sorry beans! You are more than welcome to join my dinner with a side of brown rice! 🙂 Continue reading
Recently I bought some coconut butter from amazon. It cost about $8 for a little jar of it.. and yes, it was yummy. Most importantly though, it is what I use to make my awesome peppermint patties.
I had run out of coconut butter, so I searched online to see if I could make my own. Turns out that I can, and that it is SO EASY, now I feel really stupid for even buying it the first time.
I am constantly trying out new recipes, and sometimes they really just don’t turn out as good as I think they will. A lot of the time, the picture with the recipe is really awesome. It makes me think it will be super tasty and then it flops. Such is the case for the blog today.
