In honor of Arrested Development season 4 starting on Netflix this weekend, I decided to make some Bluth Frozen Bananas! And man, they were tasty! No wonder there was “always money in the banana stand”.
There’s really not much of a “recipe”… but I felt they were delicious enough (and healthy enough) to warrant their own post.

These cookies are so yummy, they have quickly become a new family favorite! My husband requests them almost every weekend. He says they are better than normal chocolate chip cookies! That really means something coming from a Non-health-nut!
These cookies taste like toffee candy to me, I love them! I have tried making them with egg before, because it makes them rise and have more of a cookie texture. But, they are SO much better without egg! They have such a different (better!) taste and texture to them. Try them, you won’t regret it! And, if you have a picky husband like mine, I bet he will love them too!!

I love this salad! It is easy, quick, and VERY healthy! It is pretty filling as well, so it can actually pass as a main dish too, if you are looking for a light lunch. I like to have it for lunch a lot. It is light and crisp and doesn’t leave you feeling all gross and digest-y (new word i made up – when you’ve eaten too much and your body wants you to shut down completely so it can digest. lol!).

Since I use almond flour in a lot of my recipes, I thought I would share with you all exactly how I make it. I’ve had questions from some readers asking me about that… and it’s really quite easy. A little time intensive, but very easy steps.
Almond flour is very low carb. It has good fat and protein in it, as well as fiber. It has a really rich flavor, and it fills me up! I also LOVE the taste of almonds, so that is probably another reason why I love it!

Ever since I stopped buying cereal, I’ve had to get creative with breakfasts around our house. My husband LOVES pancakes and waffles, so I usually make them once a week or so.

Minty Chocolate Crinkle Cookies!
Okay, so I had a weak moment at the store today and I bought some Andes baking chips. Oh my gosh, they are so YUMMY! I am a sucker for mint and chocolate, it is one of the best combinations. After eating about half the bag (shh, don’t tell), I decided to make a yummy recipe with them.
I am so excited about how awesome these cookies turned out! They are so yummy, and the Andes chips are basically the only unhealthy ingredient… and you could substitute the baking chips of your choice in there. Also, it would be pretty easy to make these vegan and dairy free (just sub more coconut oil for the butter). A great thing about egg-free recipes is that you can eat the batter with no guilt!! yeah! I used that to my advantage, spoon and bowl licking.
almond flour banana bread – FAIL!
I am constantly trying out new recipes, and sometimes they really just don’t turn out as good as I think they will. A lot of the time, the picture with the recipe is really awesome. It makes me think it will be super tasty and then it flops. Such is the case for the blog today.
The other night I tried out a new recipe. Almond Flour Banana Bread (it also has coconut flour in it). Luckily, I only made a half batch… because it did NOT turn out well.
