I have made this Cranberry sauce for the last two Thanksgivings, and it has been a hit each time. It’s sweet, but not TOO sweet. That’s what the pie is for after dinner! Another bonus is that this recipe is SO simple. 2 ingredients..that’s it! So, without further adieu, here is my super simple and super healthy Cranberry Sauce recipe!
Healthy Cranberry Sauce
12oz. bag of fresh Cranberries
2 c. Orange Juice
Put everything in a pot and bring it to a boil. Leave it covered for a few minutes until you start hearing the cranberries “pop” open.
After a minute or two, when most of the cranberries have popped.. turn the heat down to a simmer (covered). Let the sauce reduce and simmer for about 30 minutes. You can tell it is ready when it has a nice thick consistency.
That’s it! Pretty easy, huh? If you like your cranberry sauce smooth, you can just put a hand blender in the mixture and blend until smooth.
